Dr. Stuart Gibby, DDS, MS, PC
Dr. Stuart Gibby was born and raised in Northern Utah. After graduating from Bonneville High School he attended Utah State University, where he graduated summa cum laude, with a 4.0 GPA and as Valedictorian of the largest college at Utah State. There he had dual majors in French and Business, with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Gibby then attended the University of Iowa – College of Dentistry. Here Dr. Gibby graduated with the #1 ranking in his class, again summa cum laude, 4.0 GPA, and as the Alpha Omega (top student). This dental school class would go on to have the highest average part II national board scores of any dental school in the nation – go Hawks! 🙂
After completing dental school, Dr. Gibby moved on to his residency training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was the first ever endodontic resident in this program to do both the endodontic residency while concurrently earning his master’s degree in oral biology – an achievement earned by very few since that time. Dr. Gibby subsequently completed the rigorous, voluntary process to become board-certified in endodontics. This is a distinction earned by fewer than 20% of endodontists and, to our knowledge, Dr. Gibby is the only practicing board-certified endodontist from Salt Lake City to Logan.
Subsequent to residency training, Dr. Gibby founded Mountain View Endodontics in 2008, now with offices in Pleasant View, Layton, and South Ogden, UT. He holds memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, the American Board of Endodontists, as well as the local dental society. He has further served as an adjunct clinical instructor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Utah – School of Dentistry from 2018-2023, has been the past president of both the Ben Lomond District Dental Society and the Weber District Dental Society, has lectured locally and internationally on various subjects in endodontics, and having performed well over 10,000 root canal procedures, prioritizes patient comfort, a great dental experience, and the highest quality of surgical and non-surgical endodontic (root canal) care.
When he is not doing root canals or surgery, Dr. Gibby enjoys various sports, snow and water skiing, mountain biking, all things Utah State and France, and spending time with his wife and 4 children.
